Line the plated links to the mark on the cam gear and on the crank gear, install the new oil pump seal and oring. napa has a good kit, chain, gears, guides, tensioner, probably have the cover also. i have done many of these, it takes me about 4 hours so i would think the average do it yourself person could do in in about 6 or 8 hours. Install the water tubes back into the timing cover. place the water pump pulley on the water pump and install the fan, fan clutch and fan belt. to install the distributor, first make sure the engine is set to tdc. place the distributor rotor in the 12 o’clock position and install it into the cylinder head.
