Once upon a time, a new chicken sandwich was coming out every week—and, actually, that time was just last summer. the fast food chicken sandwich wars of 2021 may have come and gone, leaving room for heavy debate amongst consumers, but recently it became clear that at least one chain still has its head in the game: panera bread.
Panera Bread New Chefs Chicken Sandwiches Food Review Youtube It comes in at 570 calories with a whopping 30 grams of fat (and 1260mg of sodium). that’s a little better than the popeye’s spicy chicken which totals out to 700 calories and 42g of fat, but you are not gaining that much (especially since you know that you will be adding one of panera’s tempting cookies to your order). The chef's chicken sandwich comes with a piece of chicken, some lettuce, little parmesan crisps, and garlic aioli. i got mine without the aioli as i generally don't enjoy it. that said, the sandwich was solid. the chicken is pleasant, the parmesan crisps add some nice crunch, and i found the sandwich a nice little dish. This is the menu item for people who don’t think salads are filling enough. this blend of romaine and mixed greens is bolstered with the addition of farro and red rice. then panera adds grilled. It features tender marinated sliced steak, provolone cheese, caramelized onions, garlic aioli, and peppadew peppers–the only pepper variety impossible to say out loud without cracking a smile. as a steak sandwich, it is a little pricier at $12.99. but, a half size is also available for $9.29. the look: dry but meaty.
