Pin On Loc Progress Pics Journeys It has been over two years locd for me. i had fun writing the first article, so i think i want to keep writing yearly recaps. these past 12 months have been a good journey for personal and hair growth. so, now it is on to my reflections since i last wrote this. No matter which starting method that you choose, even loc extensions, you will still experience the 4 stages of locs. in the starter locs stage, you’re waiting for your hair to form buds; and these buds can essentially form anywhere in the hair. on average, you can stay in the starter locs stage from 3 to 6 months. starter locs with diamond. Five stages of locs. starter. budding. teen. mature. rooted. when you reach the rooted stage of your dreadlocks, the versatility in hairstyles that awaits you is endless but it takes some time to get there. the average loc journey can take 18 24 months so it's definitely a process that requires a lot of patience and upkeep. On average, the rooted stage can last for several years, and in some cases, it can be a lifelong phase. with proper care and attention, mature locs can remain strong and beautiful for many years to come, standing as a testament to your hair care journey and personal growth. caring for rooted locs a girl and her 3 years locs via jahzylocs.

One year later…. over one year later, i am i still loving locs. i love rolling out of bed without having to do anything to my hair. i love how they look and compliment my overall style. i can’t lie though – every once in a while i miss my fro. however, i have still never seriously considered taking down my locs.
