Non Mecha Mecha Masterpiece Rg Eva Unit 01 Dx Damn, i was excited for it to be the usual rg size. would've been way more impressive and in my opinion just neat to handle. i feel like this could've been classified as a mg, but i guess rg offers more innovative engineering potential and design freedom. rg eva 01 is the size of mg barbatos. mg eva 01 would be huge. This is quite an impressive feat considering that the rg eva 01 boxart concept doesn’t stray away from the rg’s original concept. but it is thanks to the awesome cg illustration by yuka otani of the eva 01 head unit (for both versions), which highlighted many of the awesome details of the eva 01’s head unit well here. It shows that the eva 01 is roughly 80 meters to the top of the shoulder pylons, basically 5 times the height of a standard gundam gunpla and isn’t practical as a model kit. so they just did the next best thing and made it a non scale kit, at least according to this very nifty size comparison from toyshole over at facebook.
