We are proud to be one of a growing number of farmers raising grass fed and pastured raised pigs. all of our stock are idaho pasture pigs (ipps), a cross between the heritage breeds of kunekune, berkshire and duroc. they are raised on 90% grass and other forages and supplemented with non gmo, mineral rich grains.

So, don’t get stuck on that generation number. look a little deeper at these animals to ascertain their quality. the rafter o herd has almost every generation from 0 (standard nubian) to 7th gen. most of our higher generations are 50 60% nubian – 40 50% nigerian. our 1st and 2nd generation rafter o kids are about 77% nubian. J3 farm. j3 farm is a family farm raising quality mini nubian goats in newberg, oregon. we milk our goats, show in both virtual and live shows, and participate in milk testing. 2024 will be our second year we are on 305 day milk test. my goal is to raise healthy, happy, friendly goats who improve the mini nubian breed by focusing on. I’m spending about $3.20 for every gallon of milk during milking season for my better producing doe. at least in the winter months when grass hay is needed. at one point i was buying raw cow milk in cleburne (not terribly far from me) for $7 per gallon. so that’s not too bad i guess for my area.
