The original 1987 is simple , probably most kids would definitely love it ; then 2003 is more mature and adventurous, a bit like early teen titans ; 2012 has the graphics replaced with early cg and then the rottmnt has almost rebuild the story. i like the rottmnt design and honestly it really stands out from the past.
