You will need 2 front and 2 rear speakers for a quadraphonic stereo system (4.0 surround sound). use the wire gauge specified by the speakers’ manufacturer. how to connect a car head unit to speakers. when using a head unit as your audio processor, the red wire on it is used as the switch ignition while the yellow wire is a battery lead.
