Ford Focus Cooling Fan Relay Troubleshooting 2004 Probl Customer: i have a 2004 ford focus (2.0l, dohc). the cooling fans are stuck on all of the time, even with the engine off and the keys out of the ignition. from what i am reading, there are the following component to consider the cooling fan relay, the resistor module, the cht (cylinder head temperature) sensor. 22770 posts · joined 2005. #5 · aug 5, 2010. first check to see if you have resistance on the fan pins if you have an electrical meter that will show ohms. i don't know the exact figure but it should be more than 1 ohm, and not as much as 100. if you can't find any resistance on the fan motor leads then it's toast.
