That will be something to tuck away and check occasionally when under the hood of the fd's pickup. i got up y day, started up the 6.0 and sure enough, got a cel. since it had only idled a minute or two, not sure what would prompt it. used my dashboss for diagnostics and found it was a p0299 underboost condition. 6.0 low power, good boost issue. hello, my 2003 6.0 has low power as soon as it gets above 30mph. it had a oil leak in the high pressure system so i replaced the hpop, j tube and all nipple cups, o rings and injector d rings. it now builds over 3400psi of oil pressure but is still low on power. it builds up to 29 psi boost. Took my 06 6.0 on its maiden trip about 5hrs with 2400 lb trailer had low boost, engine oil temp stayed about 20 degrees above water temp. i dont see any broken or loose boots, or hoses that would harm the boost, could my charge air be leaking? also exhaust back pressure seemed awfully high. above 225 most of the time i guess its time for a muffler converter delete.
