Isaiah 40:28 31 is a stirring and deeply comforting passage that speaks to the unwavering strength and faithfulness of god. it offers a message of hope and renewal, encouraging us to put our trust in our everlasting god when we’re tired, weary, or exhausted and to find the strength to persevere even in the most difficult of circumstances. In the same way, when we humbly acknowledge our weaknesses, god’s grace enters into those areas, nourishing and shaping us for growth. “my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 corinthians 12:9. through our weaknesses, we learn humility, dependence, and trust in god. But god, in his providence, gives us our weaknesses just as he gives us our strengths. in god’s economy, where the return on investment he most values is “faith working through love” (galatians 5:6), weaknesses become assets — we can even call them talents — to be stewarded, to be invested. it may even be that the most valuable asset.
