These "bound" book versions, consisted of a 2 volume set. for each year it was in publication. ackermann's repository "bound" series 1. ran from 1809 1815. with a total of 14 volumes for series 1. series 1 vol 1 was jan june 1809. series 1 vol 2 was july dec 1809. series 1 vol 3 was jan june 1810. series 1 vol 4 was july dec 1810. A fashion plate is a term that originated in the late 18th century and gained prominence in the 19th century. it refers to a highly detailed illustration or print depicting a person who dresses the latest fashion trends. these plates were often found in fashion magazines, catalogs, or books, serving as a visual reference for current styles.
