Easy Cheesy Potato Casserole The Best Side Dish Oh Sweet Basil Preheat oven to 375˚f and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. if using fresh potatoes, place in a saucepan with cold water. simmer 12 14 minutes or until fork tender. drain and allow to cool slightly. melt butter, add sour cream, soup, onion and 1 ½ cups cheese. toss in the potatoes (or frozen hash brown potatoes) and combine. Keep a few tablespoons of the bacon fat in the skillet and add sliced onions. stir onions, over medium heat, until onions become very tender and start to brown. add garlic, combine with onions and remove from heat. cover the bottom of the pan with potato slices or chunks. sprinkle with seasoned salt and pepper.

Cheesy Potatoes Easy Casserole Recipe Crazy For Crust Preheat the oven to 400 °f. wash and dry the potatoes and then slice them 1 4 inch thick and cut each slice into quarters. in a large mixing bowl, pour cream of mushroom, cream, salt, ground pepper, onion powder, and 1 cup of shredded cheese. mix until all ingredients are combined. Prep ingredients. thaw potatoes if frozen. thinly slice green onions. mix wet ingredients. in a large bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, melted butter, sour cream, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper. mix diced cheesy potatoes. fold in potatoes, green onions and shredded cheese and stir to combine. Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. bring to a boil and cook potatoes until fork tender (about 10 15 minutes). drain the potatoes and allow them to cool. when cool enough to handle, peel the potatoes and coarsely shred on the large holes of a grater. place grated potatoes in a large bowl. Preheat oven to 180c 350f (all types). peel and cut the potatoes into 1 3 4 cm 2 3" cubes. place in a large bowl. add all remaining ingredients except mozzarella. mix. pour into a 3 litre quart baking dish (mine is 22cm 9" square x 6 cm 2.3" high). cover with foil. bake 60 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
