My tip for space is to make a road first and then think of the things you want in your city and build the buildings. all the left space can be for nature, parks, playgrounds or houses. you can make cinemas, different kinds of shops , make a mall or market, a school, pool, community centre of some sorts, options are endless. Definitely start with a layout. this can include sidewalks, roads & what buildings shops you want and where they might go. i built a city with a friend and we didn’t do a layout and i highly regret it. once you’ve planned out what buildings or stores you want, i would start building them. for me, it’s helpful to build and finish one store.
