Art Dragonborn Warlock Character Art R Dnd Patentlywillton • warlock • 4 yr. ago. well, as others in this thread have mentioned, adding a non consequential physical feature that makes them like dragons is exactly what d&d wanted to avoid. they wanted dragonborn to be distinguishable from half dragons and lizardmen, and tails make that more difficult. 4. This is a great illustration, and looks really badass. however, it's more of a half dragon than a dragonborn, because dragonborn don't have tails per the phb, but that's just me being pedantic. 5e has had both half dragons and dragonborn in the lore, and both of them look really similar but i guess there's a distinction that i don't know all the history on.
