2001 Honda Cbr 929rr Coolant Flush Youtube Doing coolant flush on the 929, and changing plugs and cleaning the chain. just general prep for the pro bike race. I am trying to flush my coolant, i have a 01 honda cbr 929. the input where you add coolant in on the front right but i can't seem to find plug where you flush the coolant, i found a few bolts on the bottom left but i want to be sure could anyone help? thanks.

Here my workshop: changing the coolant fluid. here we go unmount the fairings. lift the tank as shown to get a better view at the level of the coolant reservoir. here you see the cap of the radiator. empty the coolantreservoir. empty. mount the two bolts and the tube!!!!! fill the radiator up to the radiator filler neck. Red rider. flushing the system is always a good idea. it helps to remove any crud that may have accumulated. the cooling system (including reservoir tank) uses just under 1 gallon of coolant. as for what type of coolant i'd suggest you use the honda pre mixed stuff or distilled water with water wetter. be careful of buying an automotive.

I live in townsville, north queensland. my temps are usually 100 110c, haven't had any dramas. use the same motul 5100 10w40. i don't have the honda coolant in mine. just grabbed whatever coolant was on sale at sca at the time. not sure if you can mix coolant, my understanding is it is the same as oil. you don't mix. flush and swap.
